I'm Kate Staples, former GB athlete, British pole vault, and 'Zodiac' on Gladiators for 6 years. At the height of my athletics career, I broke my neck in two places - I was due to join Team GB at the Commonwealth Games and the Sydney Olympics.
Everything changed.
and wellbeing and made me a better coach.
That injury became the start of a long rehab journey that reshaped not only my body, but my mindset, my mental health and my purpose. learning to walk, move and train again taught me more about strength, resilience and wellbeing and made me a better coach.​
For over 25 years I have coached, mentored and inspired people through movement. I've trained thousands of clients, co-authored Burn Fat Fast with nutrition pioneer Patrick Holford and built Aspire to Greatness with Daley Thompson CBE - one of the UK's leading youth athletics organisations.
And now, I am turning that experience towards a community very close to my heart: Adults in their 50's, 60's, 70's and beyond who want to feel strong, confident, connected and make new friends.
